Top trips on turn with top kicker (Stars 6-Max $100)

The entire table is full stacked, relevent opponent in the hand seems decent.

1. I raise to $4 with [Ac][Js] UTG. UTG+1, CO, and SB all call.

2. Pot $17: Flop comes [Jd][3d][2s]. I lead $13, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, and CO folds.

3. Pot $43: Turn comes [Jc] and he has $80 behind. Hero?

I would "bet the pot", as they say...

So you're putting him squarely on a flush draw that won't bet when it's checked to him?>

of course not. you'll see a large range here.

i think the better questions are these: are you really putting him squarely on a set? if you put him on a FD, do you really think he's gonna bet when you check? if you put him on a FD, isnt charging him for the right thing to do?

this is $100 6-max on a board with a FD and where many J-x hands are possible. you're making this hand a lot more complex than it needs to be.

edit: UTG i would consider folding PF, even at 6-max.

Well I wouldn't say I'm putting him squarely on a flush draw. If he has a flush draw I don't want to risk him checking behind. I'm hoping he has a J, in which case I'd still want to bet the turn strong. Not sure how likely that is though.

I don't know, checking could get a bet out of TT. Are you worried about 33/22?

No, I was more of thinking this is a spot to CRAI as anything I get called by I think will bet and stacks sized look very good for it.I haven't check-raised much at all in NL and am trying to find spots where it's appropriate, and this looked like one.

A $34 bet looks pretty serious out of me so I don't see me getting called with anything but a set or a jack, both of which get all the money in the middle anyways.

The only reason I would think a CR is bad is if he has KK or AA and would push me but not call a CRAI or if he has a flush draw and will check behind me. Been a few weeks since I've played, so I was checking to see if you guys do the same.

CRAI is needlessly fancy here.

just bet. you'll have an easier time stacking weaker jacks and you'll charge a FD.

I don't see this as a CRAI spot. Just bet it. Either he has a J and will raise the turn or he has a flush draw and will call or fold depending on the player. If he was floating you may get more money by checking here but I would rather play the percentages and put him on a draw or a J.

A spot to check raise is when the beard is scary to your likely holding and your hand is disguised. Such as you have 99 on a board of AQ9 rainbow. If you check the turn on that board, he must have called you with an ace and will now bet it thinking you missed or have JJ/TT/KQ, etc.

Another spot is when villain raises you on the flop and you have flat called him with a strong hand. You can now try to CRAI on the turn.

Bad spot for a check-raise, if he doesn't have a jack he is going to check behind. If he has it he will raise your lead.
Bet 3/4 of the pot call a push. Check fold if he calls and the river is a non pairing diamond.
