Other option is to raise a bit less on the flop, so that you have about pot sized left on the turn, and push the turn. I am too lazy to calculate EV in both cases, (you need to take into acount that yo have full house outs and will have to call a moderate bet on a heart turn), but I would guess that if villian is going to call no matter what, second line is higher EV.

I do not mind the push, you do want to give him the wrong odds to draw to his flush. And if he doesn't have the a forth heart will kill all your action. You made him make the wrong decision.

I think it is fine to get it all in - the only likely hand you are a huge dog to is , and even if he has that you are 30% to win.

And if he calls a reraise on the flop, you would both almost be commited anyway? Preflop the pot was 15, and with the two flop bets it would be 37. And you raise would need to be to something like 45 (to not give him correct odds to draw to a flush), and if he called another 34, the pot would be 116. And you would each have ~90 left. So if you go all in on a safe turn, he would call 90 in a 200 pot. If he called that on the flop, he would on the turn, even if he doesn't have the odds.

There are some hands where preflop mistakes are really bad....like limping T6s and then calling a raise OOP.

But other than really obvious mistakes like that, most of the other hands that we see posted (like this one), the preflop play means sooooooo much less than the post flop play.

Theres absolutley nothing wrong with calling preflop with QQ or reraising preflop with QQ. Its all situational and whether you flat call or reraise can change how you should play post flop, but to say that flat calling is abysmal, I think is having a closed mind.

I sometimes flat call with QQ and I sometimes make a pot sized reraise with junk hands. Its all part of mixing up your play, making yourself unreadable, and tricking your opponents.

Preflop play isnt nearly as important as post flop play especially in 6 max.
