$200 NL at UB...Its my 2nd orbit so no reads.

Button raises to $7 and I call in the BB with KQ.

Pot $15. Flop K94. I check. He insta bets pot. Gotta love the bet pot button at UB. I call.

Pot $45. Turn T and it puts a flush draw on the board. I shouldve led out here, but checked. He bets $15 again. Thats a strange bet. It almost looks like he may have picked up the flush draw and wants to price himself in. I call. Im not happy with how Im playing this so far

Pot $75. River is a 5 and hits the backdoor flush. I check. He bets $38. Thoughts?

Also ahead of time I like just calling with KQo rather than reraising here despite the fact several people on UTB have told me otherwise.

I call, if only out of curiousity. If all he had was the flush draw, I'd expect him to either check behind on the turn or make a bigger bet to try pushing you out. The turn bet really feels more like a "maybe my smaller PP is still good..." type of bet.

While I don't like your play much, I would play it the same sometimes. I call this 100%

I wrestle with this type of situation all the time. People raise alot in 6 max. vecause of that, I figure to be ahead here most of the time. If I raise somewhere hes folding everything I beat unless hes a moron. if I turn into a calling station, he may keep firing.

So, by call, call, calling, I risk gettin goutdrawn occasionally, but I should make more money against his range of good hands, marginal hands and total air.

I called the river and he had 65. Now, knowing that, calling him down is obviously correct. If I lead the flop, raise the flop or lead the turn, he folds.

Again, its a matter of trying to balance how much I can make by just calling him when Im way ahead against getting outdrawn by a hand that is not far behind.
