I have been fairly active and aggressive, raising a lot the last 4-5 orbits

I raise AK suited on the button when it is folded to me. To $4

BB re-raises to $12

I think for a while, finally I decide to call

Flop comes J J 4 rainbow. He checks, I check

Turn is a A

He checks, I check

River is an 8

He checks, I bet 3/4 pot, he calls

Is calling this re-raise preflop a good idea? I always struggle with this one in 6-max with AK.
Also should I bet the turn? I didn't because he could have AA (looking to check raise the flop, but I checked through, he hits his gin card on the turn so he checks)

I raise 99 UTG to $4.
Button re-raises to $8
I call

Flop comes A 9 T two hearts

I check, he bets $12 into a $16 pot, I raise to $30, he calls.

Turn is another heart. I have $56 the pot is $94, I am not folding so I shove. Thoughts?

Hand 1:

I would call or 4 bet pre flop. I would never fold.

Flop check seems fine.

Turn check is interesting. I'd very very often check here. I would also sometimes bet. I think the check is a good play, but I think your reasoning (that he has AA) is not the reason for a check.

River bet is good.



Hand 2:

Seems ok. The flop check raise seems a little small, but you don't really have enough left behind that it really matters much.

I suspect your pfr has a lot to do with it.

I'm at a about 8%, and when I'm reraised, it's almost always by a monster because they see me as not crazy preflop so the think when I raise they need a monster to reraise.
