Hello I have played LO8 before and this was my first foray into PLO8.

STACK SIZES: HERO has 22.55$ and UTG+1 covers.

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP1 with
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises to $1, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, 2 folds, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

This is standard, yes?

Flop: ($5, 5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $4, 3 folds, UTG+1 calls.

So Igot trips and Ace Kicker and bet like 4/5 pot on the flop, and if I was raised the pot, I'm not sure what the correct move is. I think I would jam.

Anyways, UTG+1 called, I figured him to have trips like me. But he doesn't quite know if my flop bet means trips, (I think I would have bet AA2 on this flop too, good or bad?). Since my hand isn't really defined he probably doesn't need a high kicker to call my flop bet. So I still don't really know if my hand is best either, but I feel pretty good.

Turn: ($13, 2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $12.4, UTG+1 calls.

I decided to bet again here because now I have some insurance with the nut low draw, and he would have to have exactly K3 or hit 73 to beat me.

River: ($37.8, 2 players)
UTG+1 bets $5.25, Hero calls all-in $5.15.
Uncalled bets: $0.1 returned to UTG+1.

I hated my hand, but decided to call getting 8:1

is this all amazingly standard? After writing all my thoughts it seems that way. :\

It seems reasonable. The flop call might set off alarm bells against some opponents at higher levels, but having picked up a low draw on the turn I think it's necessary to bet again at 25PLO8, he could really have any 3 and perhaps if he's awful nothing more than a backdoor low draw, flush draw, AK etc.

You definitely have to call the river.

At higher level I would worry about the flop call, but at the 25 level the call doesn't mean all that much. Depending on reads I may check behind on the turn, but against a typical 25 donk I bet again.

Overall I think your play is reasonable, but would begin to worry about it at higher levels or against better players;
