200NL at FTP. I'll be honest, I've struggled at FTP for some reason. I'm about breakeven over 5k hands.

Villain is full stacked and by FTP standards he is tight. 30/10 type guy. I've been very TAGish at this table.

I'm in LP with 7[c] 8[c] and its folded to me. I raise to 8. No callers except villain in BB who min raises it to 18. I call.

Flop ($36) A[c] 4[c] 9[d]. He checks. I check. Anyone bet there?

Turn ($36) 2[c]. He checks, I bet $25, he raises me to 50, I push.

Thoughts. What's villain have here?

Min raise out of the BB seems like it is a hand that wants action and doesn't want you to fold thus I would say it is a big hand.

I don't bet that flop because I always get leary of a re-raise that checks the flop, says big hand to me.

also I like the shove on the off chance he has AK with the K of clubs

I say he has a set, 99 or AA but I am leaning towards AA

A reraise to $18 isnt a min reraise. Was it a raise to $18 or really a min reraise which would be to $14? It makes a big difference.

Either way Im pushing the turn, but the difference is whether or not I wouldve bet the flop.

I put him on KK with the or AA. EIther way, Im pushing in.

I play it the same way.

With rare exception, I find a preflop reraise out of position + a flop check is always a slowplay. I think he has AA here most of the time. I'm also shoving everytime.

I agree with most, this is an easy check behind and and easy push on the turn.

Jarren wins the prize for best read as he had AK[c] and missed.

I think if I bet the flop here I either get raised off my hand or he doesn't pay me off later. Just an interesting point.

I do think min reraising preflop with AKo is pretty wild though.
