OK, so after the demise of the Gold Mine (PP), I decided to take my measly $200 balance on Stars and jump back into the SNG arena and the past two weeks have been a virtual hell. I am about 99% sure I played the following hands correctly but absolutely nothing is holding up and I am losing confidence fast. I have only been playing NL holdem (Ring and SNG) for about 1.5 years but I have read countless books and I study my hands and try to be the best player that I can.

How do you guys handle downswings like this? I dont want to run through my bankroll, I have never redeposited and I dont really want to again. I am playing only $5 + reg. fee 18 person SNG's at Stars. When I saw downswing I am talking close to 5000 hands. In those 5000 hands, I have been dealt AA 8 times, KK a whopping 2 times, QQ 5 times and pocket pairs as a whole 149 times (1/2 of the statistical norm). Out of the times I have been dealt pairs, I have flopped a set 5 times. What do you do during a swing like this? Keep playing what you think is good poker and watch your roll go down the toilet? I took some time off right before the Party disaster, I dont feel burnt out or anything. I dont know, suggestions and sympathy ( ) would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, on to the hands:

Another tourney, 5 handed, big blind, unraised pot, can I get away from this flop? Was it overplayed? I mean, pretty much anyone holding and Ace goes nuts with this I think.

This is just a small sample. What (if anything) do you see wrong with these? Just looking for some feedback or suggestions from the more experienced players on here on how to deal with this kind of stuff aside from packing the pipe and getting stoned out of my mind.

Other than letting yourself get down to under 1000 in chips in that one hand, I do not see anything wrong with your play.

Maybe switching it up by playing 2 or 1 table tourneys for a bit may help?

I have the same problem...I'm not getting average luck on PokerStars, my pocket aces get cracked even by hands like AKo where I'm 95% to win.
