So I havent written a tourney summary in a while. Im not actually going to write a summary, but I am going to recap a series of hands that happened to end a tourney I just played. I have played this tourney a few times recently and have been pretty happy with my results.
This is a 5 table turbo sng. When the story begins, I am 5th out of 5 in chips, with about 2900. I had just doubled up the #2 stack the hand before, when my 1010 could not withstand his AQ.

Hmm, maybe the giant horseshoe around me is gonna fall of at any second. I proceeded to, suprisingly uneventfully, steal the blinds on the next two hands (with very legitimate aq and 55, might I add) for 5 hands in a row. At this point, the chips were 35-21-11, so I really wanted one of them to knock the other out. Not that I was passing up a chance, but I knew they would be gunning for me.
I let up for 5 hands (when my cards temporarily cooled). All I wanted was for one to double through (or eliminate) the other, as I felt that I had an advantage HU against either. And one of them did indeed double up through the other
I eliminated the short stack when my a5 held up against his 108.
Went HU only up 4000, which was not much considering the blinds were 1500/3000. I won the first four hands with either flop bets or preflop raises, then this hand.

It was pretty sweet. Once the running aces hit, I just felt like there was no way to lose. Here is what the HH looked like, which just blew me away (the whole sequence of hands on this screen took maybe four minutes).
Crazy.
