ok first things fvcking first...not sure why you mentioned youre female...unless you really do want to go through 1-200 posts of 'what do you look like blah blah blh..."
ANYWAY, here's the thing. You can definitely make a living playing what I'd consider small stakes out in Las Vegas. I played the 1/2 and 2/5 nl at Caesars every day for 5 days straight after I busted from the WSOP in Augugust and made close to 5K.
What alarms me a bit is twofold.
1. you dont seem to have much experience playing live
2. you mention that you want to play $50NL
Not sure what they have downtown because once I started at Caesars I didnt feel the need to look anywhere else. But I would have to imagine that beating the rake/dealer tips/waitress tips at a $50NL game is going to be rough. Not to mention the fact that I'd guess you'll be seeing alot more local rocknits at the $50 at Sams town. You're looking to skin the gambooling tourists, not Earl the bus driver who's making $600/week in salary. Going out on a short roll ($3k) is also making me nervous, but thats just me.
Ok that said...the games at caesars were fvcking awesome. If you're patient, and skilled, you will make a TON of money. Wait for hands, bet all 3 streets and collect loot. Do not go for any FPS type bullshit because its completely unnecessary. If you notice good players at your table, do not be afraid to ask for a seat change, you're there to make money not friends. The games at Caesars are structured as follows, the 1/2NL has a min/max of 100/500, which I found to be fantastic, the 2/5 is uncapped and plays pretty big. Start out at 1/2 and go from there as you get comfortable. 1 note...the room was always full when I was there (WSOP ME time), but waiting time was never more than a 15 minutes...the staff was excellent.
This one is particularly tough for me because I am by nature pretty agrressive and not friendly to strangers...BUT be friendly...people will enjoy loosing to you alot more, which is very important if you want the donks to reload when you bust them.
When the donks stare at a flop, they missed it totally - raise.
OK - thats my brain dump on live LV poker. Have fun, This is going to be a great time for you..be patient etc...I am fvcking envious..keep us posted.
