I figured shorty had the flush and wanted to CR the turn. I had no idea what Button was pushing with but I felt I had to call.
Shorty had [3c] for the flush and Button flopped top set with [Jh].
With my turn check I figured I was behind and so I wanted to see a cheap river card in hopes of filling up. I agree that betting the turn would have made the hand easier to play but most times in that situation I think I'm just building a pot with a losing hand.
