If it's folded around to me on the button, this is an easy raise. But with two limpers, do I really want to make a big pot with KJo, even with position? If I raise to $2 and one of the blinds and both limpers call, I'd be looking at a 4-5 way pot with $8-$10 already in it.

In the original hand, unless one of the EP is a known slowplayer or limp-reraiser, I'm raising in that spot to 6-8 BB about 70% of the time. Not because I figure to have the best hand, but to punish the limpers and use my position. Half of the time you pick up 5BB. The other half you may get a call, in which case your CB should do the trick.

Bottom line: yes, make it 6-8BB depending on what your standard is. Execption: when you have been doing this over and over and when people start getting fed up, or when there are very short stacks involved who are likely to push on you.
