Villian is a good TAG on Stars. Stats: 24/11/3.31 over about 1k hands. He and I haven't tangled a lot and no major hands between us.

Is betting the turn better? I'd hate to get raised whenever he has a J here, though.

That is a horrrible turn card. Check-fold sounds weak tight but i like that line. You could be drawing dead to 2 outs and even if you hit the flush you wont get paid much.

I think about check-folding on this turn. If he is any good he is going to bet the river as a a bluff or a value bet and even your flush draw can be no good here.

agreed - he has set, flush or Jack - and position too - i think leading anyhting substantial here is a donk move so check fold seems fine..of course I usually limp push KK UTG though - so don't end up playing them from EP in raised pots much these days..

LOL - sure a tight player might have QQ AK or medium pair and fold if you bet the pot into him - I've just found that overall on the $200 tables firing the pot into a board that likely to have hit him is spewage.

Now if you have him marked down as someone who likes to sponge flops and you think he is testing to see if you have AK then fine.

You are up against a good player OOP with no idea where you stand. If you want to fire a third and fourth barrel go right ahead...surprised you don't recommenr the CRAI Xast..

Note to self - always buy in full with Xast at the table as you will get paid off for full stack when your sets or draws hit..

i have 330 hands on this vaillin roy...hes 23/23/4 but his flop AF is 8...I think is he has AJ he raises the flop. I think if he has a set he raises the flop with 2 spades out.

You're behind to JT and QJ (does he play QJ to a raise at 23/13, maybe). Not sure. Against most I think I might c/c, vs this guy I actually think you might be good.

If you check-call, what do you do when the river is a brick? Check and fold to a $140 bet? Check and call a $140 bet? Check and call a $100 bet but fold for any more?

If you check-call and the river is a low spade what do you do, bet/fold? bet/call?
