This has got to be one of the best feelings in poker. I just played a 3 hour session 6-7 tabling, and the entire time I felt like I was losing. I had shitty luck. I had AK flop top pair and run into a set twice, against the same person, in about 5 hands. He was a massive donk so I wasn't getting away. I had JJ preflop run into KK, where the KK limped on the button after UTG and MP had already limped, so i raise in the bb and mp calls, now the btn re-raises big, i push, call, call. AQ and KK, ohwell. Oh also I got a stack in with QQ on a J84r flop vs ATo, ship an A on the river. I was really annoyed most of the time. I still won $447.53. I dunno how. I think my game is the best that it's ever been. I obviously had a few good hands, flopping sets vs overpairs etc, but I definitely felt I had more bad luck than good luck by a long way. I'm up about $3.2k for the month so far which considering i've hardly played at all, i'm very happy with.
Poker is silly.
It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.
Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
