Sometimes I feel like I really get this game and sometimes I feel like I have no clue what I'm doing. More often the latter.

My question is a basic one: what do you do when you flop the nut low but have no high hand or draw?

4 limpers and I complete in SB with .

Flop ($3) is . I bet $1.50, 3 callers and then a minraise from a shortstack. I reraise to $10 (I don't know what I'm doing here, I guess trying to isolate the shortsack which is proabably dumb) and BB calls and the short stack calls all-in.

Turn is . I check and BB pushes for $33. I have him covered.

Easy fold? Should I have pushed the turn? Should I have folded on the flop?

With the nut low and no reasonable high I want to keep the pot multiway OR take it down uncontested. With 6 players and a made low out there is absolutely no way in hell your taking it down, so try to keep people in.

I like betting small since I play with people who:
1. Will call a small bet with anything
2. Bet when checked to but just call if you bet into them. By betting small I am keeping people in and severly cutting down the risk of a big field-reducing bet or raise.

In my opinion your flop bet is OK, but your re-raise is absolutely horrible. Why did you do that? You're not going to fold everyone out. You're going to be in exactly the worst possible situation, playing a big pot OOP against one or two players with a one-way hand. You should have just called the miniraise which would have ensured that everyone else called as well.

Since he's all-in I probably call the turn since even if I get quartered it doesn't hurt that much and there is some chance I am good for half or get insanely lucky and quarter him.

But really, even a donk like me can tell you you messed up big time with the re-raise on the flop.

you want to keep this pot small. -- esp. since you're OOP.

if you check and there's a lot of action behind you from solid players, i'd actually fold. yes.... folding a (relatively) bare nut low is somtimes correct if you are fairly certain that you're getting quartered.

in this case, it's possible to check-call a smallish bet since you do have set potenial, backdoor str8 potential, and backdoor flush potential, but if you're potential for high doesn't improve on the turn, then you need to consider dumping it.

also note that in 3-way pots i'll often check-call down if i think at least one of the other players is a donk who will overplay 2pr, a non-nut low, or a bare nut low. with three people in the pot, you only lose 1/4 of what you put in. the big thing is that you don't want two people jamming since it means that you could end up losing 1/4 of your whole stack.
