Full stacks, villain has just sat down so no reads.

I raise the table-normal $4 in MP with [As][Ks]. Only button calls.

Flop ($10) [Ad][6d][5s]

I bet $7, button raises to $18

What's your play?

When I play a patient and relaxed game I win - that simple.

Thanks for the responses. We have 2 in favour of folding, 1 for the call and 1 for the reraise.

This was posted on 2+2 recently, and the unanimous verdict was to get as much money in ASAP, the only debate being on the method used to do this.

Any thoughts?

call, lead a non-diamond turn. probably just check/fold a [d] turn.

i think a reraise is really bad unless you know villain to be either a smart/thinking/creative player (who could very well interpret your line as a draw, or easily be on a bluff himself), or a massive calling station who will call a shove with AQ/AJ.

I've got no problem with a fold. You are OOP with TPTK, and the pot is growing out of your control. If I had a read, it would be different.

I actually don't mind the reraise, but I fold if he pushes. If you reraise, AQ/AJ probably call and check behind the turn letting your know you are ahead. Set's push to your flop reraise so you can fold.

Best line is probably fold though.

I'm not saying I'd fold, I'm just saying my goal would not be to play as big a pot as possible. I think I like a reraise here so I can get away from this easier if I need to. Either that or call and lead the turn.

Bottom line is if you play for your stack with TPTK a lot, you won't have many stacks left at the end of the session.
