Well, I think Monk's strategy here presumably maximizes profit. But he's also has a lot more "strategy routine" than I do in the sense that I feel like there are more situations where it's immediately obvious as to what to do whereas I have to think about it (and presumably make more mistakes despite the attempt to think at times...).
Anyhow, if you have that kind of "strategy routine" (or whatever you want to call it), I think maximum profits will definitely come from playing more tables at whatever maximum level your bankroll allows and your normal game pretty much runs over the opposition.
On the other hand, I really just think it's fun getting more detailed reads (as you can in PLO on Stars at least 200 and up and to some extent even 100, where there are already quite a few regulars), still need to work on certain general strategy components and just enjoy trying to figure out how to crack particular strategies as I come across them.
But I do think staying flexible among the various levels is a good policy in PLO. There just aren't as many tables anywhere that I can find as there are in NLHE. So, it's not like you can just pick your limit and always find a super table there.
