i agree 100% with what ice is saying.. when i finished watching seasons 1 and 2 of HSP, those were my thoughts exactly.. danny was playing a very loose passive game and playing very donkishly imo. Many times he would call raises with crap like A7o, A4o, or like 68o..
then postflop, the guy becomes a calling station... sometimes calling down flop and turn bets with just middle pair, or some shit draw... or not being able to laydown TPTK to some guys flop raise, then calling him/her down the whole way...i dont care how good ur read is, but those plays just arent going to be +ev in the long run because your opponents not gonna be raising or betting weaker hands there enough to make it +ev to play that way.

the only ppl who were playing LAG on HSP, was eli and sammy. Although the way sammy plays, it kinda seems as if he has no idea wtf implied odds are.. he also has a lot of trouble folding pf.

...discuss specific hands, not general observations. Your EV comments aren't making reference to the situations he was in (nor to him possibly being on tilt, whereby any consideration of EV is absurd )

His play might not work because he isn't playing against Joe Average; plus, he got really unlucky.

His plays only work because he's NOT playing against joe average (generally speaking).
