there is going to be very little if any difference between 5$ and 10$ SNGs, i really didnt see much of a differnce until i hit the $50 level
having no clue how you play and having not seen any hands this is an impossible question to answer, 40 SNGs is a very small sample size though and it is very possible that it is just due to varience...if you want real input on how ur heads up play is post some hands that you arent sure about and get some responses that way

What do you have against 7's? 
you folded 7/10 7/9 and 7/5 from the small blind preflop. Unless someone is raising all the time after you complete, all three of those hands should be limped. I think 79os is at least as good if not better than J3 suited which you limped with. I would re-read the HU section of HOH 2.
