$50 NL FR at Eurolinx. Villain is a regular and a winner but a strange player. He plays all sorts of crap preflop, and then he seems to like to sponge on the flop. I used to wimp out against him with missed hands. But recently firing a second bullet when I have stuff like unimproved type has folded him a few times.
I get [Qs] in the CO. Someone in MP minraises to $1, I reraise to $4, Villain calls OTB, raiser calls also.
Pot $12.75. Flop [3h][3c]. I like that flop a lot. Checks to me, I bet $10, Villain flat calls, preflop raiser folds. OK, so he's floating me again. Dumbass.
Pot $32.75. Turn . Hmm. Would he really float the flop with AK unimproved? Is he just doing his standard float hoping to take it away on the turn? Against this guy I can't check/fold. But I don't want to give him a free card to catch a flush or a straight. (And yes he's weird enough to chase those on a paired board, although they make up a small % of his range.) I'd better bet. He has $31.50 left and I cover. I bet $15, he minimum raises to $30 leaving just $1.50 behind. Oops, that's not what I wanted to see. A minimum raise that leaves almost nothing left behind is just about never a bluff at $50 NL FR. I'm pretty sure I'm in deep doo-doo here, but can I fold for just $16.50 more?
