In the big tournaments (WSOP etc) he makes incredibly good reads, I doubt anyone else is that good. HSP is certainly not representative of his strength.

About the trash hands, they all seem to play trash on HSP with few exceptions. It's almost like the beginners tables on Party where most see the flop

My point is that I think he playing badly post flop in these shows.
He ovebets and folds off hands that he beats.
He calls with nothing (floating) but then doesnt try to take the pot away.
He bets like 1/3 pot when he has TP and theres a flush draw on the board.
He cant fold in a big pot when he KNOWS hes beat (several outdraws when he flopped the nuts). These arent 100BB stacks where you never fold a set or a straight.

I agree that hes one of the best tourney players in the world, but Ive watched enough of him in this game that I cant be convinced hes playing this cash game very well.

Honestly I would bet $50 that he didn't think she would fire the third barrel without a hand that beat him and didn't want to have to put in another 20k without knowing where he was at. On the turn he was probably still floating because he's known as such a floater, many people will fire two against him.

And yeah he built himself on cash games, not tournaments... but then again he didn't build his bankroll playing a game where the weakest competition is phil hellmuth

But I do agree Ice, I would not have played the hand that way. I haven't seen much past season 1, could you post some more hands he's involved in?



Also, DN is NOT a lag. He's a situational player. People in that game lag it up so much that being loose passive is probably a winning style.
