I have mostly played limit hold em but recently started to play some no limit. The following happend to me in one of my first sessions. Since I just sat down I had no read on the small blind other than his big stack. Is this a "stop-and-go" bet?

SB bets $425, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $461.50

I actually think you were ahead here but it will take your whole stack to find out which may be the way he grew that stack. Any read on this player? Since it looks like you just sat down, I suggest you observe tables and use poker tracker and gt+ to get a read on players when you sit down. If you don't have it, I suggest you get it.

This is read dependent and I'm 50/50 here of whether to call or not. I think he has the flush draw and is trying to scare you out of the pot. If you call, he has outs.

I call here the vast majority of the time i think. If he really had a 4, or flopped a set lets say, he wouldnt go agg like that on the turn out of position. If he was gonna bet it big at you, he'd probably CR you allin, or else bet an amount that is somewhat callable. It looks like he's pushing you around, and unless you credit him with being smart enough to think to do this with a nutty hand because it SEEMS so much like a move that its more likely to get a call from a marginal hand, I'd calll. If your stack was as deep as his, then it'd be a much more difficult question, but with your stack, id callit. Ya gotta try to build a big stack so you can start throwin your weight around, right? And i think this hand presented probably a better than 50% chance opportunity to do that.
