Your gonna pay off 4[c]5[c] everytime here (and probably any 4-5 for that matter, but judging from how he played it, it's probably gotta be suited to be calling $8 pre-flop with itin the SB).
No matter what, you have to raise to protect against the draw as he could easily have 5[c]6[c] or 6[c]7[c] as he could 4[c]5[c] - he could also have a set, a nut-flush draw, a pair and a flsuh draw.
I'd just push it - from how he played it he's probably got 2-2, or 6-6.
He's gonna pay you off with set over set and your gonna protect against the flush-draw/straight-draw.
Even if he's got 4[c]5[c], you still aren't looking too shabby.
