More stars fun. SB is bad. 65/32/3.5 or something. He minraises a lot preflop with solid raises mixed in. He can be bullied off pots to big action but mostly he's been doing the bullying.

So I flop top set and he bets into me then 3-bets my raise. Obviously I like that, but a 4-bet chases off anything that's not a smaller set. I seriously doubt that he can have an overpair because he would probably have min-reraised that preflop.

My turn play sucks... but in this case it's a nice dilemma. He leads into me like I had hoped. At this point I think he's probably on total rags or a set. What to do?

No offence please, but if you don't know what to do with a top set you should play lower stackes.

Obviously anyone can play top set profitably but there's also obviously more than one way to play it and some of those may be more profitable than others. I'm looking for advice on maximising profit with an obviously profitable hand. Is that so bad?

Your gonna pay off 4[c]5[c] everytime here (and probably any 4-5 for that matter, but judging from how he played it, it's probably gotta be suited to be calling $8 pre-flop with itin the SB).

No matter what, you have to raise to protect against the draw as he could easily have 5[c]6[c] or 6[c]7[c] as he could 4[c]5[c] - he could also have a set, a nut-flush draw, a pair and a flsuh draw.

I'd just push it - from how he played it he's probably got 2-2, or 6-6.

He's gonna pay you off with set over set and your gonna protect against the flush-draw/straight-draw.

Even if he's got 4[c]5[c], you still aren't looking too shabby.
