Villain and I have been brawling a bit. It started a few hands ago when I checked in the BB with 52 and the board went A72TA and villain decides to bet full pot on the river as the last to act, after we had all been checking it all hand. It was the third such steal attempt so I CR'd his ass, he folded, I showed.

He's now calling everyone of my preflop raises. His anger is so strong I'm starting to think it's warping his avatar a bit.

I have KT and check in the BB. Villain is fully stacked 2 to my left.

Flop K[h] K[d] Q[c] ($7). I lead full pot, he thinks and calls.

Turn ($21) 7[c]I check, he bets $15, I check raise to $60. He thinks and calls.

River ($140) 2[d] I lead $50.

Thoughts.

Is your weak river lead to induce a bluff?

This looks OK. Personally I would bet about $100 on the river, but I think your line is fine too.

Villain called with QT and I scooped. From the moment I bet full pot with trips he thought, "No way he has trips and is betting full pot."

The question is would QT call 100 there? He took his time calling.

I like the weaker bet because he might just push and I can call, and I think he calls 95% of the time.

IF I bet $100 he might not call enough.

From the HH and the previous action against Villain, I think you have the best of it on the river. I would not have bet $50 into $140 unless I know villain will reraise me a decent % of time. I think Villain is more likely to make a mistake by calling your all in than by rereraising all in himself, so I instapush this attempting to make his emotional brain click call before his rational brain clicks fold.

*Note - I hadn't considered the $50 value bet to keep the Q around. Is villain smart enough to notice your CR bet size is > than river bet size.

Because of opponent tilt instapush > value bet > check to induce bluff. The push and value bet are close, but you can keep the opponent steaming with the instapush by making him lose his stack, or by you continuing to run him over.
