So I was braggin bout how good I was at SNGs, so I got asked by a BTPer to play a $20 w/ him... I basically got NO cards for the first 100 years or so, and ended up pushing A7h, which OBV isn't my greatest move ever, but whatever...

Question is that he called me w/ 85o, saying that he was "getting good odds" and his "cards were live" and all kinds of other bullcrap...

So, regardless of whether my push was good or not, what do you think of his call???

I agree with EP. I'm sure by this point A7o looked HUGE but UTG with this many people is still not a good push. 85o call...horrible. He's not getting anywhere near the odds he'd need to make this correct.

I call this Big Stack Syndrome. You catch a couple of hands, get a big stack. You feel bulletproof and you start taking chances you wouldn't normally consider.

Or, this might simply have been a case of I-want-to-take-a-shot-at-busting-MVP-with-crap Syndrome.

Either way, he has to call 950 into a 1095 pot, which is basically even money. At *best*, he's a 3-2 dog. So, mathematically, this call doesn't make sense.

Unless he had a read on you that you would be pushing from UTG with 23o.

Yeah... I'm not disputin the A7 push, it was pretty well meh... It was prolly half frustration, half I'm retarded, and half it was 4am and I was pretty well exhausted...

And I was pretty sure his call was horrible... He asked me to post it cause he didnt believe me...
