Villain in question is running at 42/8/3. he's made it pretty clear that he sucks too. He has a full stack, I cover
MP open limps. villain limps in the CO, i limp with
[7s] from the SB, BB checks.
4-ways. $40 pot flop comes
[8h][5h]. I bet $30. only the CO calls.
HU - $100 pot, turns the
. I bet $70. he raises $90 more to $160. i just call.
HU - $420 pot. Rivers the
. I check, he bets $250, i call.
I decided not to reraise him with this thought process.
He could easily have 7x here, in which case it's a split pot and he's not going anywhere.
He could have T7, in which case, once again, he's not going anywhere. He'll have to bet the river with 7x, but probably won't push it on T7. If i bet/raise though, the stacks going in.
He could also be bluffing. If i bet, I lose the bluff value.
So basically, i can bet/raise, and lose the bluff value, split with 7x, and stack off to T7, or I can check/call and lose less to T7, split with 7x, and gain bluff value.
Who likes my reasoning here? who likes the play in general? Who doesn't?
