After the following hand, a lively discussion ensued among my opponents. First the hand. (4 handed game)
I raise in the CO with AKs. SB (decent winning regular) calls. BB (idem) reraises, I 4bet. SB folds, BB tanks a while and folds, showing AKo.
SB claims that the fold was way too tight and that a push would have been in order, because it was a steal situation in which nobody necessarily had a premium hand. Basically he thinks that AK should hardly ever be folded in SH very aggressive games.
BB claims that once in a while a push is good against someone who is stealing/restealing too much, but that I'm hardly ever 4betting, so that it would be bad in this particular case against my range.
Button (who was not in the hand) claims that a push is almost always bad since in these games 4bets with hands weaker than AQ are rare.
What do you think?
