I don't get it. If you managed to go all-in before your connection died you won.

I would have thought if you shoved that you were already all-in when you got disconnected. Which would mean you didn't need protection.

Eh? The all-in protection is supposed to mean that if you disconnect during a hand, you will be considered all-in for whatever you have put in the pot.

Once you're ACTUALLY all-in, nothing should be able to prevent you from a showdown.

yep all happened at the same time, basically within seconds of each other and then while all my opponents are thinking about if they should call or not my connection blew up

I emailed PS but I got a form letter response about "all-in protection"

I mean it happens, I am not broke because of it but it sucks big time

by the way here is Stars rules on the matter

"These tables are identified by the words "no all-in" (which is nearly every table they have) n parentheses after a table name. These poker tables do not provide the all-in protection described in the section above. If you disconnect from a no all-in table, you are given extra time to reconnect. However, if you are unable to respond after the extra time given, your hand will be folded. If you have a poor or unreliable Internet connection, we recommend that you don't play at the no all-in poker tables. "

Thing is, though, you didn't need to "respond" anymore. You had taken your final action in each hand. No "response" was necessary or even possible on your part after you pushed.

yeah that is pretty much the whole basis of my argument at the moment

like I said though Stars has been super cool about this whole thing in how they have been handling it, regardless of their decision it was nice to have some timely resolution on the matter and so far they seem to be taking the appropriate steps to see if they screwed up or not
