If you checkraise all-in, you are pretty much signalling strength, and I doubt he would call it without a boat?
To me that small bet looks like something that he wants to get called. If that is from trips or a boat is the question?
Personally I would just call, but it's me not liking the variance, and not seeing him make that weak bet and then call a push with trips 8. But I admitt that I might be losing some value....
Edit: After reading Zmejs post I agree that there are a lot more hands than an actual boat. So I agree with raising
