That hand isn't that impressive. I remember you posting one a while back where you called down with 67 on a QJ862 board or something, that was impressive.
Well this will be my last post from Australia for about 6 weeks. I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go to Canada with my friend Essex and his family for two weeks and from there i'm going to spend about a month with my sister in San Diego. I'm looking forward to meeting up with as many BTP degenerates as I can.
Today was what I like to call a 'close to perfect day'. Nothing spectacular happened, but i'm immensely happy with absoloutely every aspect in my life atm. I wasn't yesterday, therefore things fell into place today to make me feel this way.
I woke up fairly early because I had to take a dump, came back to bed and went to sleep for another two hours. Waking up and going back to sleep is a great feeling. When I finally woke up, I bummed around doing what I usually do - talking/reading IRC, checking these forums, etc. Random crap.
After this I went out to the shops to buy some last minute things for my trip. I got a VERY cool wireless mouse for a reasonable price (Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000) to use with my laptop to play poker on while i'm away. It's exactly what I wanted. I also picked up some shaving stuff I needed.
When I came home my mum had made spaghetti bolognase which was delicious. I ate that while watching an episode of futurama that i'd never seen before (must've skipped over it when I watched the whole series a while back) which is always a fun find.
I hadn't packed yet so it was time to do this. I was a bit worried everything wouldn't fit into my suitcase (all my skiing gear is a LOT of crap) but it fit quite well, with room for my external hard-drive and wii that i'm taking with me. I also got $400 USD and about $50 CAD from my parents for the trip and they told me they would cover my expenses, which was a nice surprise.
Essex dropped by spontaneously, I think he was at another friends house nearby, and we played GoW for about an hour. I'd never played it co-op before and HOLY MOTHER OF GOD is it a lot more fun. We owned shit up for a while then played wii baseball (1-0 to me ship ship), but he had to leave and pack and all. I then came online and spoke to a friend who I hadn't really spoken to in a while. It was great catching up with her.
Mum had made an awesome dinner which consisted of kababs, spicy prawns, bread with dips and a good salad. We had a bottle of red wine and I had a few glasses, which are gonna cost me but it's my last night here so what the heck. Essex then came by with his luggage and what not (we're taking him to the airport) and shared a glass of wine with us while we had some very intellectual debates, namely whether or not zero is an even number (I said it was and later proved myself correct) and the finer points of american geography (LOL I stayed out of this one, obv). It was good fun.
I came online for a while and watched Essex play poker for a bit, just a couple of small tournies which he unfortunately didn't cash in. While he was near the end I fired up 8 tabls of 1/2 NL and played for a while. I played well. While I was playing Essex went to bed and I ended my session fairly shortly after, +$548.54 in 1hr 44mins. This means i'm yet to have a losing day in 2007, a really great feeling to have.
I didn't manage to make the 20k hand target I set for myself a few days ago, but I hit about 12k and made $2,535.77. Best start to the year I could really hope for.
Well this is a long and pretty boring post, but I want to remember today. I'm taking my laptop with me and I *think* they have broadband access in the lodge where we're staying so i'll be able to post/stay in touch with some frequency. I'll definitely be online once I get to San Diego though.

Poker is silly.
It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.
Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
