I seriously have no idea what path is +EV or most +EV. It's pretty obvious I had the best hand on the flop now, so try not to be results oriented.

Any raise on the flop commits me to the small stack. I have no read on him and have never seen him play. I'm really not sure I want to risk committing $40 more when he probably won't play back without at least a J.

you put pot-sized raise in on the flop and if he calls you check/fold unless a 9 hits..?

there are some flops (often with 2 of the same card out on them and no draws) where a tiny bet can be a monster - here you'd expect any made hand would want to put a real bet in so your assumption is he has a draw and is trying to keep the pot small

I would raise him and get the note box ready..

if he has the FD and one overcard to the board....and you always check behind on the turn...he's really not making a mistake at all by calling your raise.

i think raising it up here necessitates your betting a non-[d] turn.

i still think you have to raise this flop. i just also think you need to bet out on most non-[d] turns.
