I'm trying to figure out how to properly make money from nits. Any advice is welcome.

I'm basically relaxing my hand requirements when i think I can play HU. Then I play it very aggressively. My results modestly improved. I think i need to look ahead when betting the pot. I'm usually making a full pot sized bet and I think I must size it properly.

Hand 1 :

Button: $109.55 (28/16/1.4)
Hero: $130.65

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with
3 folds, Button raises to $3.5, Hero calls, BB folds.

Flop: ($8, 2 players)
Hero bets $8

Hand 2

Stack sizes:
UTG+1: $333.90
Hero: $122.70

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $3.5, 3 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: ($7.5, 2 players)
Hero bets $7.5, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: ($22.5, 2 players)
Hero bets $22.5,

Hand #1 is bad

preflop call OOP with a weak ace = not good times.

Hand #2 is awful

preflop call OOP is terrible.

Looks like he has a big K to me and he probably isn't giving you credit for a 4

gotta agree, hit the nits when you have position. You will make enough money with your CBs against them that you really don't need to worry too much.

hand 1 is marginally bad but not awful.

hand 2 is just wretched. what the hell are you thinking?

Do you play at Tribeca?

A tight player who has a AggFactor < 1.5 is nit candidate. I can put him into a reasonable range of hands and I will not be reraised too often.

I'd look for the 'folds to flop bet' or at least WtSD% stat before low aggression - a very low aggression can indicate a calling station and a very high aggression can be gained by folding 9/10 and betting/raising on the other- something in the 1-1.5 range would probably be ok though
