$1/$2 NL at Tri - as you might to read these fools- beca

Fairly solid SB (29 / 7) who Ive had success against completes after its folded to him. I raise to $7 with [Qs]. He calls. This is literally my 1st hand at the table but like I said, I know the guy a bit. I have $200 and he covers.

Pot $14. Flop [4s][3c]. He checks, I bet $10 and he calls.

Pot $34. Turn . He now leads $16. What do I do?

I doubt we both have the flush. I thinks hes good / tricky enough to lead here with just about anything knowing the flush has to scare me. He also very well might lead like this with the actual flush.

So would you raise here and hope he calls with something like [Jd]? Or would you just call and make HIM think that I am trying to hit the flush with somethign like [Qd]?

If I just call, hes very liable to bet the river with just a pair or maybe with nothing since it looks like Im backing down and drawing.

Question #2 is this...what would you do if you really did have [Qd]?

1. Call. I don't want to blow him off his hand here if he will lead the river. I raise the river even if the board pairs.

2. I would call as well. You are getting over 3-1 on a 4-1 shot and lots of implied odds if he has the . Add in the fact that you are in position, you may be able to extract some more from him even if he doesn't have the .

I'm raising here with the flush or with just A[d]. Stop N gos are usually weak ass blocking bets. I raise less with the flush becaues I want another spade

i raise [Qs] most of the time, because i want to raise [Qd] and similar hands a lot of the time.

i need him to know that he can't always get to showdown just cause he has top pair. (i think by far his most likely holdings are JT and J-x here).

and i need him to sometimes think that im bluffing, and push in on me when i actually do have the flush.

because i have position and my turn raise forces him to make a bigger decision than i have to make, in the long run he's gonna screw up more than i will.
