Hi i have just started playing 6 max and am doing quite well i play an aggressive LAG style raising most pots that i enter, i am doing quite at the 10/20 cent games at the mo

I would like to know what some of you guys look for when selecting a table the only critirea i have curretly is to make sure there is plenty of full buy ins or there abouts at the table

do you make decisions based on the Av pot sive Av playes to the flop or do you wacth each game before u sit down or a balance of all of the above

the reason i ask i think my table selection needs some work i cant tell wheather i am doing better at tighter passive tables or action tables ( i no poker tracker would help which i will be purchasing shortly just saving my HH for now) so some feed back would be appreciated

things i look for:
no more than 2 shortstacks. and i prefer them on my left.
a few full stacks, on my right.
no more than 1 player that i know to be decent/good.


things i don't like:
being sandwiched between 2 stacks over 200bb.
being at thet same table as one of the 3 or 4 regulars at my site/stakes that i think are really good.

other than that i just assume that anyone who doesn't stand out at $100NL/$200NL is probably bad and exploitable.

I play a mix of 8-max and 6-max games. Depending on where you are playing there will be quite a few regulars, you'll usually want to play with no more than 1 or 2 other regulars.

I don't mind playing with shorties as long as it isn't more than 3, at 6-max they basically just give their money away.

I usually select the tables by average pot size and join those lists 1st. Also I find that by starting your own table you often get swarmed with fresh fish before they bust out for the day.

I look for high % see flops - at least 40% and preferably 50-60% av.

I try for medium average pots.

I dont mind short stacks or big (both can really suck) but if the HUD is showing no donks after 40 hands or so, I get up and leave

i just find tables with high flops seen and an avg or higher pot size. More importantly, is to leave a table if it doesnt look juicy enough or fit your style.
