2 hands from a different website. 10$ NL

Postby Jossnaz » Sun Jan 14, 2007 11:26 am

I just saw these hands and thought I'll post them here.

Both times I actually am not really happy with what they suggest.

But what do you guys say?

1)BB ($14.30)
MP1 ($9.15)
Hero ($2)

PartyPoker $10 NL Hold'em (10 handed) Recorded and converted with HandRecorder

Preflop: Hero is CO with [8d], [2d]
3 folds, MP1 calls $0.10, 2 folds, Hero (poster) checks, 2 folds, BB checks.

Flop: ($0.25) [8c], [4d], [Jd] (3 players)
BB bets $0.30, MP1 calls $0.30, Hero folds.

Turn: ($0.85) [5d] (2 players)
BB bets $1, MP1 calls $1.

River: ($2.85) 7Club (2 players)
BB checks, MP1 checks.

Final Pot: $2.85.

He suggests to push all in on flop or call. He prefers push all in.

hand 2)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Jc], [7s]
3 folds, MP2 calls $0.10, 3 folds, SB calls $0.05, Hero checks.

Flop: ($0,30) [8h] , [Js] , [9d] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.30, MP2 folds, SB calls $0.30.

Turn: ($0,90) [7h] (2 players)
SB bets $0.50, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $1,40.

His advice is to check/fold the flop or if raised, fold on turn is correct.
He would only bet flop as last to act.

Actually I personally would 90% fold turn too, but always bet the flop.

hand 1- Hero is in position here if I read the post right? Hero has middle pair with a lousy kicker and a small flush draw. Pot is laying just under 3:1. I'd play here. I call, if my flush is good I want callers and with no reads I'm not sure I've enough fold equity to win the pot if I push here. I think my stack size will assist me in getting other bets if I hit as short stacks will often chase with nothing at these limits.

hand 2- Stack sizes? I bet this flop 3 handed. I might not be so inclined to fold the turn. The 7[h] is not necessarily bad for us. In an unraised pot we have a lot of hands we are ahead beating. Villain has bet 60% of the pot here. Does he have more than TP? True it might be a suck bet by Villain but this board may be as scary for him as for Hero. I might call and re-evaluate or semi-bluff/value raise here (turn). If I am sure I'm behind I am folding but I'm not certain I'm against more than TP and a draw. I haven't run numbers yet but that is my feeling without any other reads. Read dependent.
My luck is so bad that if I bought a cemetery, people
would stop dying.
