I have 7[h] 6[h] OTB. Villain limps UTG with full stack (he's TAGish 28/9/2), UTG+1 calls, and I raise to $12 hoping to take it down right there. Villain calls.

Flop ($29) 8[c] 9[c] 4[s]. He cks, I bet $26, he calls.

Turn ($81) 5[c]. He cks . I bet $62 and he thinks and calls.

River ($205) 6[d]. He cks. He has $105 left.

Who likes the turn bet?

What do you do on the river? Are we ahead or behind here?

What's calling the river push that doesn't split or crush you? I like the river check.

I play it on turn same way as OP most of the time.

The river is very tricky - did he check as he now faces a one card str8 that beats his set/2 pair or whatever or is he inducing a bluff with a made flush (or check calling down with a weak flush)?

I don't see him with T7 which is the only str8 that beats you.

I think once he called my turn bet I am done putting money in here - I check behind gladly and see what he has -apart from anyhting else he will likely fold any hand I am beating to any significant bet anyway.

He can't put you on the straight. He limped UTG, called a raise, then check/called the flop. I think he has a set here very often, most likely 44 since so many people like to raise 88+. T7 is not even within a million miles of possible.

He can be worried about you having the flush. But for a half pot river bet I don't think he folds the set.

I push the river. I think if he's gone this far he'll go the rest of the way. And we're ahead of his range.

I checked behind on the river. I figured his pause and then a call on the turn was either a flush draw or a made flush trying to figure out whether to pop me now or on the river (i.e., WA/WB).

He had a misplayed A[c] A[d]. Ice was right about him beating an overpair.

I'm still not sure about the turn bet.
