One thing I wasn't doing at all yesterday was raising pre-flop. I'm doing it more tonight, and the results seem to be better. It does make it easier to fire a big flop bet when you do hit the flop if you've raised pre-flop and get a caller or two.

i think this is an excellent range and it makes it really hard to put you on a hand when you raise.

i also agree that the pfr (esp with position) makes it A LOT easier to protect your hand and/or punish draws (esp. by reducing implied odds).

you mentioned in your other post that you weren't sure about reraising. i save that for VERY select situations -- it usually involves isolating short stacks or maniacs. when i reraise pf, i certainly DO NOT always have AAxx, but i always have a really good hand. the flatcall can be very deceptive if you call with a wide range -- you can pick up a lot of janky flops because they really have no idea if it hit you or not (often it has ).
