Okay, so here's another hand I'm curious on whether I played well, or not at all. In my opinion, I tipped my hand pretty early, but at the same time, had a bit of a moron raising me (and therefore got a lot more out of the hand than I "should've."
Anyway, this is $1/$2 Stud on Interpoker, $0.25 ante, $0.50 bring in. On third, here's the stage:
dealt to playerA
dealt to starsteal
dealt to playerB
dealt to playerC
dealt to playerD
dealt to playerE
dealt to playerF
Obviously, I'm real happy with my rolled up trips and given how the table has been playing, I have no problem raising when it comes around to me - mostly because it looks like I'm raising on a big card rather than a made set.
So E posts the bring in and is called twice, I raise - B calls, C and D fold and the others call. The pot is 5-handed and there's $6.75 in the pot.
On fourth, I do not improve, and F picks up a second three. Here's the board:
dealt to playerA [8s]
dealt to starsteal [6d]
dealt to playerB [Jc]
dealt to playerE [7c]
dealt to playerF [3d]
F and A both check and I lead off for the full $2 bet. Player B folds and then E raises. Hmmm - he started with a deuce and now has a seven. At this point, I have to think a big pair. If he paired his sevens - well, I guess its time for me to take his stack because he's a moron...
After E raises, F and A both call. Considering how things look - I decide to reraise here and all three call. So $6 from four players, the pot is now $30.75.
On 5th, I still don't improve, and moron picks up a king. A picks up a king as well - so I'm not too worried about moron having a set of those...
dealt to playerA [Ks]
dealt to starsteal [4s]
dealt to playerE [Kh]
dealt to playerF [4h]
F and A both check and I bet out again. E - moron that he is - raises. Both F and A call and I reraise again. All three call. Another $24 from this round and the pot is $54.75.
On 6th, A gets a semi-scary 3rd spade and moron gets a five.
dealt to playerA [Js]
dealt to starsteal [Ad]
dealt to playerE [5d]
dealt to playerF [Th]
Checks to me again and everyone calls.
The river gives me a harmless three and it checks to me again. I make my final bet and F is the only one who folds. The final pot is $68.75 with a $3 rake. I take the pot.
Moron then shows his hand (which of course is reorganized because of Interpoker's software):
So onto questions:
1. Would anyone have done anything differently from my position? I strongly suspected he had a set of deuces after he raised me again on 5th - if that makes much of a difference.
2. Do you see any way I might have gotten more out of the pot than I did? I know - I'm complaining about a 34BB pot...
3. Given the best case scenario, he started with 772 and picked up his set on 4th. Knowing that the case seven is out (assuming you got to 4th in the first place), is there any hand that you can put me on (in other words - is my set transparent - or would it look just like queens with an ace?)?
