I am with you on the 0 withdrawels and just building the bankroll so I can play 2/4 properly rolled. I'm at 7K now, @ UB, playin the 1/2' 6max's. I'll bet you'll beat me to 10K!

The Atlantic City Poker Trip w/ Commentary

Mike: Welcome to the World Poker Cashgame Tour! I'm Mike Sexton and sitting next to me is the wonderful Vince Van Patton. We're broadcasting tonight from the beautiful ghetto of Atlantic City and the Tropicana poker room. They really know how to treat a guest here, don't they Vince?

Vince: That's right, Mike. I've never seen so many scantily clad paper thin women in my life. It's amazing what women around here will do for an ounce of crack!

Mike: Bingo Bango! So that's why I heard that constant banging last night!

Vince: Well, to be honest, the rooms could use a bit more insulation.

Mike: Well then it wouldn't be the Trop, would it?

Vince: Haha, right again! So anyway, Mike, who's your pick this time? I have to go with the brillant and savvy kennyg myself.

Mike: I also have to pick kennyg. What a monster of the poker world! In fact, didn't you have the pleasure of playing against him once Vince?

Vince: I sure did, Mike. What an amazing player he was too. He bluffed me out of a huge pot on the river!

Mike: Haha! Well thats bound to happen against a superstar of poker!

Vince: I should have paid less attention to his big shoe-size and more attention to his big bet.

Vince: Here comes the flop of dreams!

Mike: Bingo bango bongo Vince! The flop is [9h][4d] Kenny's flopped middle pair with a flush draw! Lets see how this genuis of poker plays the hand!

Vince: Big shoes, Mike. Very big shoes.

Mike: Kenny leads out for the pot. Ben Afflict calls quickly with his [3d]. This could spell trouble for Kenny if another diamond comes!

Vince: [in bad russian accent]: Burn and turn.

Mike: This isn't Rounders assface.

Vince: Sorry.

Mike: The turn is the . No help for either player. It's kennyg's turn to act. Oh look at this BOLD move by the professional gambler Vince! He's betting pot with 3rd pair and a flush draw!

Vince: I think that may be the sexiest bet I've ever seen in a poker game, Mike.

Mike: Ben Afflict doesn't care! He's calling again with just his lone flush draw. Maybe he belevies he can extract kennyg's monster stack if he hits the river!

Vince: Why don't you extract your hands out of your pants, Mike?

Mike: As you said, it was a sexy bet. Hehe.

Vince: Enough. On with the show. The river is the . A true brick. Kennyg checks, It's up to Ben Afflict now.

Mike: Look at this he's reaching for chips!

Vince: Don't do it Ben!

Mike; He's putting out a 3/4 pot bet! What a tremendous move by the amatuer player! He's sending a message that he will not be bossed around by this master of poker might! ..... Back onto Kennyg now. He's staring at his opponent. Ben Afflict is looking back. No wait, he's talking now! Ben Afflict is talking to his buddy at the table. How will Kenny read this?

Vince: [muttering] I bet he's a size 12

Mike: I think he's going to make the call Vince! I can't beleive it! HE'S PUTTING THE CHIPS OUT YES HE'S CALLED!

Vince: Ben Afflict has just sheepishly turned his cards over!

Mike:

Vince: Time to change your pants again, Mike?

Mike: You know it.

The AC trip went really well and restored my confidence a ton, which has carried over to my online game.. I played for 30 hours at 2/5 and made a tidy sum. I thought that was impressive considering I lost over $1300 with my sets. I ran into set over set, set losing to gutshot draw (all in on flop), and folding top set to the nut straight.

My reading skills were awesome and I became more and more aggressive as time went on. I found the players in AC quite tight. They would play their cards and not the man. If there was a raise beyond preflop... 90% it was a monster hand.

I'm not sure why I'm always in tight live games, but I am. It's all good though. I needed the win and I'll take it at any game I can.

I made a couple of friends as I was playing too. Nothing major or anything but it was cool to meet other professionals doing what I do. I also saw this asian chick that I met in vegas a few months ago. Odd that she would be at the Trop, but there she was. She nicknamed me Mr. smarty pants when i folded my pocket tens to her aces preflop.
