Both of these bets look like blocking bets. Anyone like the river raises here? Anyone think they're donk maneuvers?

hand 1: EP open limps. he's running around 22/6/2.3 I raise to $30 with 77 and he calls.

$60 pot, HU. flop comes [Qh][9c]. he checks, i bet $48, he calls.
$165 pot. HU. turns the . check check
$165 pot. HU. rivers the . He bets $36. I raise to $200.



Hand 2:

UTG limps. I limp in the CO with [2c]. only the BB comes too.

$18 pot. 3-way flop comes [8c][9c]. UTG bets $18, i consider raising but just call for some reason (don't ask why, couldn't tell ya). BB folds.
$57 pot. HU. turns the . BB checks. I bet $36, he calls.
$129 pot. HU. rivers the . he bets $24. I raise to $200.



Thoughts on these two?

I like hand #2 a lot more than hand #1 as I don't really see what you're trying to represent in the latter.

If you think he's weak (he probably is) AND will fold go for it, but there's really no hand you can have that checks the turn and raises the river.

I don't like #1. Hard to rep the king after you've checked the turn.

Hand #2 i like.

Hand 1) I think I just call if I'm pretty sure its some weak ass guy betting his missed FD. Actually, I prefer a fold as I agree with Ice and KG about most Qs calling.

Hand 2) I really like the raise as that's pretty weak ass, esp on that board.
