Mr-T plays 8 tables and is a set minor / overpair player. I'll never pay him off.

Hes also down in my database although only after 500 hands or so.

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

Righting the Ship

Crazy month with a crazy comeback. I think I'm going to avoid playing until the beginning of Feb. I want to finish January on this excellent note.

I ended up playing 40 hours of 1/2 NL and a little over 13k hands in the second half of the month. I also put 30 hours in AC. This after starting the month playing 3/6 and losing shitloads of money. Hell, even my first session of 1/2 I managed to lose $1000 (5 buyins.)

I overcame. A winning month baby! My confidence is growing again in leaps and bounds. I feel like I'm on a mission. I'm so close to high stakes again I can taste it. I won't let myself go that quickly though. I'm going to graduate through each level again; just like I did the first time. Only this second time I will be a much better player with improved money management skills and a greater understanding of the big picture.

-----------------------
1/2 stats

13k hands
20.5vpip/13pfr
4.48PTBB/100
3.37 MT ratio
39.4 hours

------------------------

On another great note: I know I'm pissing off this certain 1/2 regular on a consistent basis (the guy i talked about a few posts ago who had no imagination and no real poker skill.) He's started to open up by reraising me in position more often. He has been rewarded cruely for his efforts in the last 3 hands:

Hand 1
Blinds: $1/$2
4 players

Stack sizes:
Hero: $463.21
Button: $29.20
SB: $271.29
BB: $193.00

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is UTG with [As] [Ah]
Hero raises to $8, 2 folds, BB raises to $22, Hero calls.

Flop: [4s] [Jc] [2c] ($47, 2 players)
BB bets $32, Hero raises all-in $439.21, BB folds.
Uncalled bets: $407.21 returned to Hero.

Results:
Final pot: $111

------------------------------------------

Hand 2

Blinds: $1/$2
6 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $307.11
UTG+1: $252.55
CO: $645.50
Hero: $228.80
SB: $194.00
BB: $138.95

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with [7d] [6d]
3 folds, Hero raises to $8, SB raises to $23, BB folds, Hero calls.

Flop: [5s] [8d] [2d] ($49, 2 players)
SB bets $32, Hero raises all-in $204.8, SB folds.
Uncalled bets: $172.8 returned to Hero.

Results:
Final pot: $113

----------------------------------------------

Hand 3

Blinds: $1/$2
6 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $567.61
UTG+1: $235.20
Hero: $229.05
Button: $199.00
SB: $199.80
BB: $226.07

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with [2c] [2h]
2 folds, Hero raises to $8, Button folds, SB raises to $23, BB folds, Hero calls.

Flop: [2d] [7d] [6d] ($49, 2 players)
SB bets $48, Hero raises all-in $205.05, SB calls all-in $128.8.
Uncalled bets: $28.25 returned to Hero.

Turn: [Js] ($402.6, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $402.6)

River: [5s] ($402.6, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $402.6)

Results:
Final pot: $402.6
SB shows Ah Ac
Hero shows 2c 2h

----------------------------------------------

This hand was interesting. I made a smaller reraise than normal because I wanted to orginal raiser (who was tilting) to call but still be HU. Didn't quite work the way I had hoped. My call was good on the flop though.
Blinds: $1/$2
5 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $200.00
Hero: $195.00
Button: $68.70
SB: $187.60
BB: $206.65

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with [Jd] [Jh]
UTG raises to $6, Hero raises to $18, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls.

Flop: [Qh] [4c] [5c] ($56, 3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $40, SB folds, UTG raises all-in $182, Hero calls all-in $137.
Uncalled bets: $5 returned to UTG.

Turn: [Ac] ($410, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $410)

River: [Jc] ($410, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $410)

Results:
Final pot: $410
Hero shows Jd Jh
UTG shows Kc 9c

-----------------------------------------

Here's a hand that Shobute witnessed. We just thought it sweet as hell. This was about a half hour after the previously stated JJ hand.

Blinds: $1/$2
6 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $159.95
UTG+1: $191.00
Hero: $291.15
Button: $299.55
SB: $226.08

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with [Jh] [Jd]
UTG raises to $8, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls, Button raises to $27, 2 folds, UTG calls, Hero calls.

Flop: [Js] [8s] [Tc] ($84, 3 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks, Button bets $55, UTG raises all-in $132.95, Hero raises all-in $264.15, Button calls.

Turn: [5s] ($745.25, 1 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $482.85, Sidepot 1: $262.4)

River: [Jc] ($745.25, 1 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $482.85, Sidepot 1: $262.4)

Results:
Final pot: $745.25
Hero shows Jh Jd

Here's to an even better February!
