$100 PLO 6max on UB. Opponent in the hand is a strong regular, who used to play up to 5-10, but lately hammers away in the smaller games (I think he had a very bad run and is rebuilding). I find him very tough to play against, to the extent that I will usually leave a table if I don't have position on him. I think he perceives me as one of the more thinking players at this level, but I'm not sure whether I'm happy with that: he will always try to sit to my left, and he will float me a lot knowing that I'm not eager to stack off without a decent hand.
To the hand. I openraise in the CO with [Tc][9c][6s]. Button folds, SB (unknown) calls, Opponent in BB calls. We all have roughly 100bb.
Flop: [7c][2c]. Checked to me, I pot (I don't CBet here always, but this was one of the times I chose to do it). SB folds, BB calls.
Turn: . Villain leads for the pot ($30something).
I had a hard time here putting him on a hand; he can float the flop with anything and picked up a draw; he may just sense weakness and decide that a CR only has folding equity against a pure bluff; or he can have something like 77 and be throwing his most confusing line at me, just to mix it up (although most of the time he'd CR the flop with a set).
My draw is crappy so I figured it was a fold or AI. What do you think?
