I am a new player to Omaha having played NL Holdem

Is this the correct way to play a set that does not improve?

No great reads on villain other than he is like most of the players at the table - loose/passive. stats 84/2 after 25 hands.

Flop: ($1.5, 6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1.5, MP1 folds, MP3 calls, 3 folds.

I bet the pot on the flop hoping to get rid of some the other limpers and I end up getting one caller.

Turn: ($4.5, 2 players)
Hero bets $4.5, MP3 calls.

The turn card should not hurt me - did not complete a flush, did not pair the board and my Q's are higher ranking.

So I bet the pot again hoping he would fold.

River: ($13.5, 2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets $5, Hero???

No flush but he might have completed a straight. What would he call my bets with? Flush draw? Flush/straight combo draw? A smaller set?

i'd call... that looks like a missed flush draw or a smaller set. it's possible that the guys had AKxx suited and backdoored while chasing his flush, but you only need to win this 1 in 4 or so for it to be a good call.

Definitely call. Working backwards through the hand ... it would be really hard to believe that villain was getting excited about Broadway ... given what the flop was.

Either he missed his flush ... or he's trying to psych you out saying that you missed yours. Either way ... you have the best hand. (Most of the time.)

If the flop was more "straight-y" (TM) ... I'd fold.
