Pfr is 50/10/.43 over less than 20 hands. short stack in between us is normal semi loose semi passive shortie. UTG is a decent lag who i'm wary of, rest are unknowns.

Well, i thought I was very likely ahead of preflop raiser, or if he has the other AA, i have an advantage with my J and because of my J, JJ is unlikely so I figure his flop bet is a "please fold, i don't have much" bet and I could take the pot away as long as no one else showed interest and i would take the risk if the shortie in between us staying in. Comments?

well, i'm worried that its multi way which is why i check and see what happens when it gets back to me. I'm not overly worried about the preflop raiser, just the short stack between us and he's short enough that I decided to take my chances.

I dont really like potting/repotting on the flop with a AA and 3 of 1 suit when not being shortstack. You potted preflop, so THEY have a pretty good idea what your hand might be, while you have NO idea about theirs. The board looks pretty harmless. But after you repotted you are committed, so when you get called you are probably NOT a fav. to win the hand anymore. Since you have limited redraws, you are pretty much dead.

In situations like this I like to slowplay my aces and hope I get lucky, in case an A flops + some remote draw you are more likely to get some action. This situation is much better, since they NOW have NO idea about YOUR hand. You might get action from lesser draw/freaky draw, if you potted it before the flop the lower set would have been much more careful. In other words: you have now MUCH better chances to stick your money in being a pretty good fav.
