So what's this new tournament rule where when someone raises one of your blinds, you are required to put in a re-raise of at least 1/3 of your stack no matter what 2 cards you have?
Lasted just 12 hands in the Midnight Madness tonight. Ran JJ into AJ (2nd best hand on full tilt next to 44) and even though he only needed the 1 Ace, he hit 2 of them. I open-raised from MP, he 3-bet from the small blind and I pushed. I'm still waiting patiently for my big MTT hit. I haven't final tabled an MTT with over 100 entrants in 43 attempts yet this year.
A few hands earlier I saw a player open-raise from early, the big blind put in large re-raise. The flop came TJA. BB pushes, EP calls. Your thinking AK vs JJ or AA or TT some huge kinda hand like that right? How about EP had ATo and BB had 57o. WTF is up with this psycho aggression from the blinds?
Anyway, today was a GREAT day otherwise!
What I was really looking for was a couple of decent 1/2 limit tables to grind out for a long session today, but the waiting lists were 4 and 5 long for the few tables running so I endedup playing 4 short session (3 50NL FR - 1 6-max 1/2 limit) and making a small killing.
Mini-session 1
118 hands NL50 50 minutes
+$20.10
This was the session where I had KK 3 hands in a row and profited only 25 cents and also the where I raised 53s, got 2 callers, and flopped quad 5's, but nobody wanted to play. I basically won a bunch of small pots here, which is fine.
Mini-session 2
88 hands 1/2 Limit 6-max 23 minutes
+$2
This was just psychotic. I couldn't stay. I don't know if this is standard or not, but I got players at 60/30/50 all around me just cleaning up. Here are some just sick hands in a short time span.....

Mini-session 3
72 hands NL50 37 minutes
+$30.95
http://www.pokerhand.org/?821293 - Found my balls and became aggressive again.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?821298 - Dumb ass Turn check and river call. I had him either on a Ten or a flush draw. One got there, the other didn't, but way to go calling off 1/3 of your stack with 3 outs. Even better, way to go me for not being able to lay that down.
Here is a stilly decision, which ironically ends up turning into my biggest profit. Actually, now that I look at it, it was the right move, but I didn't have the short stack who was playing every hand on Aces.......
I limp
[9d] UTG+1 (7 handed) MP raises to $2 (shortie 40/20/22), CO calls, SB calls, BB calls, so I have to call
[[7d][Qd] Pot $10
SB bets $10 into the pot (SB has $17.05 left), BB folds, I'm not sure what to do, but end up pushing, MP calls off his last $7.15, CO folds, SB calls his last $17.05
So I now realize that there was enough in the side-pot to make me a profit even if I didn't catch my flush, as long as SB didn't hit. I was actually ahead of him.
SB
[5s] - MP
[Ac]
Moot point. I turned
and scooped. Right push, wrong push? Results oriented? I'm not sure.
Mini-session 4
115 hands NL50 54 minutes
+$47 + $20 bonus
Kept up the aggression........
http://www.pokerhand.org/?821310 (BB was ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED I had a set of 4's here - even told me he was glad he folded a half hour later)
and it was nice flopping the nuts and actually not being drawn out on.....
http://www.pokerhand.org/?821309
+$120.05 with only one decent sized pot to speak of. I will grind out this win and happily take that EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK!
