I think the one hand where I disagree with the "standard" push is when you have the nut flush draw and get raised. I think its very opponent specific and board specific, because you are often against a set.

Two examples last night from Prima 200NL.

1) Opponent is fully stacked and pretty tight running 20/9/3.
He limps, I pop it up with A[s] J[s] in the BB, and only he calls.
Flop ($18) A[d] 7[s] 3[s]. I lead $16 and he min raises.


2) I have A[c] 5[c] and raise the BB. Villain is in SB, he's decent, but I've pounded him a bit. He's 28/9/2.5
Flop ($16) 4[c] 2[c] 9[d]. He leads $12, I raise to $28, he insta-reraises to $56.


What's your plan for each hand and do you put anyone on a set/two pair here (which is what you really worry about with the NFD).

hand 1: call. here are many reasons to shove with a pair + NFD but not so many reasons to shove with TPGK+NFD. you dont want to blow him off a flush draw, weaker A-x, bluff, etc etc. and you only have 9 outs vs. a set.

hand 2: shove. 12 outs. whatever.

Hand1. Here I like a call. He will not fold anything you beat here, and I doubt that he will call a push with a worse A.

Hand2. Easy push. With your history of SB vs BB, 12 very good outs, and 3 additional outs against TT-KK make it a push.

#1) I reraise but not all in.

#2) I just call.

Zmej, I hope you misspoke when you said "Here I like a call. He will not fold anything you beat here" because if he wont fold anything that you beat, then I would say thats a good time to push in.
