Cruising Along

Mood: reflective
All is still well. Had a monster 4 buyin winning session last night. This morning of course I dropped 3/4ths of that win, but I played well. I examined all the big losing hands after the session and it was just an influx of bad beats. I made a little bit back in my second session even though I ran poorly.
My play has been excellent lately. I've been forcing my opponents to make decisions (mistakes) while I also control the pot size. I've put some players on tilt. I've made great reads. I leave before I tilt. I'm putting in decent hours. I can't demand any more from myself.
It's frustrating to put all this time in not knowing if my money will be readily accessible. Who knows what will happen in the current climate? I think I will see my money, but it's a risk. A big risk. Still I need to work and I need money.
Which is why a move to Vegas is becoming a new reality for me. I'm not 100% on it yet, but it's looking like it more and more each day. My lease runs out at the end of May. Perhaps things will change and I'll be able to stay here. I may move anyway. I'm not sure of anything just yet.
For the time being, I will probably just stick to low limits of 1/2 and 2/4. I'm not sure putting big money online right now is a wise choice. I'm pretty amazed at my winrate on 1/2 right now anyway. It's much more hourly than I had expected.
If I do move to Vegas I'm going to look at it as a new chapter in my life. An exciting adventure waiting in the wings. Besides, I'm sure MVP wants someone to share in his nightly drinking and debauchery.

I put this guy on tilt after showing a few small bluffs. He insta-called the flop, insta-bet the turn, and insta-pushed over my check raise. I contemplated folding the turn but given the pot odds, our history, and his play of the hand it was an easy call.

This guy yelled at me about this hand for a good 5 minutes. I was open-ended on the flop w/ a backdoor flush draw. I decided a small bet on the turn would look like a blocker. (And if he raised with a lone ten that was great because I would be freerolling for a flush.) On the river, I was going to value bet, but decided a push would look very fishy considering my turn bet. After he called and lost he told me to "go buy a lottery ticket." I replied, "Why should I if you're going to call allins with 4 to the straight out." He shut up after that. ROLFCOPTER
