Aight, no one's interested in the reraise amount. Can I get some thoughts on the blind play stuff? (I tried to use the converter thing, but I suck)
1. 5/10 NL Cash game. 6 handed. Everyone has about $2,000. A passive middle position player raises to $40. Button re-raises to $70.
You are in the BB and have:
What should you do?
Fold. One of them obviously holds a higher pocket pair
Call and semi bluff all in on a low flop
Call
Raise to $180 about 50% of the time, call 50% of the time
Raise to $225 about 25% of the time, call 75% of the time
I think I said call here. I'm thinking I'm behind to a bigger pair so looking to flop a set or fold the flop.
2. 5/10 NL Cash game. 9 handed. Everyone has about $1,000. Unknown middle position raises to $40. Tight player on the button re-raises to $140.
You are in the BB and have:
What should you do?
Call
Raise
Fold
Call 1/3, fold 1/3, raise 1/3
Raise all-in 10%, but fold 90%
Raise all-in 10%, but call 90%
I think I said fold this one. I'm OOP and probably dominated.
3. 5/10 NL Cash game. 9 handed. You have a tricky tight aggressive image. Everyone has about $1,000. 3 limpers.
You are in the SB and hold:
What should you do?
Fold
Call
Raise
All-in 2% and call 98%
Big raise 50% and call 50%
I said big raise 50% call 50%; since I play low stakes, I call this more like 80% or 90%, but I would think that varying the play and possibly stealing the pot makes it worthwhile at higher stakes, since players can fold KTo.
4. 5/10 NL Cash game, $1,000 stacks. A solid tight aggressive winning player limps in middle position.
Folded to you in the big blind. Your image is tight aggressive. You hold:
You check. Flop:
You lead for $35, the limper raises to $120. Which is a better option?
Fold
Raise all-in
Of these two options, I thought folding was better, since I mostly just win what's in the pot by pushing, whereas I'm getting crushed if he has 77. Even if he calls with an overpair he'll see the river with 8 outs so I'm not that far ahead. By the provided read on this player; however, I don't think we can expect a call with just an overpair.
5. 5/10 NL. $1,500 stacks. 9 handed. A tight aggressive middle position player raises to $40. Another tight aggressive player on the button re-raises to $140. You're in the big blind with:
What should you do? Your image is tight aggressive, but you were recently caught bluffing.
Fold
Call
Re-raise
All-in
I said fold. One of them almost surely has a decent pp and the other probably has one of my aces, if not two of them or two of my kings. I'm OOP as well, so just wait for a better spot.
Any insight is much appreciated.
