Through 25 hands, SB had been playing 68/10/30. He had been donking and check-raising liberally and most players had been just giving him the pot. He was 3-bet once and folded. I hadn't seen him push yet.

I start with $50.90 and he has me covered....

SB checks, MP1 checks, I bet $7, SB raises to $75.50.

Is this a set? Is it a FD+OC's? Is it an overpair?


2nd hand against same player. He has now settled down 53/12/29 with an AF 3.6. Still liberally donking and c/r'ing the table though.
I start with $51.55 and he has me covered of course.

MP2 limps, I raise to $2.50, SB calls, MP2 folds

SB checks, I bet $4.50, he raises to $9 (his standard move), I re-raise to $20, he goes to $31

Did the LAG hit me 2x in a row or is this a move?

I open-raise to $2 and he calls from BB.

He donks right into me for $3. I'm supposed to believe he's playing 50% of his hands and hitting everyone against me? I call and plan on raising any turn to rep a King.

So much for that, but now I probably have the best hand so I can call him down right? He bets $5 and I call

He bets pot. What now? Is this a bluff?

He actually said something funny after this hand which I'll share later on.

Well. At least my mind was in the right place.

Hand 1 - I took almost all of my time before calling. He had the set of 6's. If this were the last hand against him I think I might have opted for a fold. He only pushed like this one other time. Mostly he was just min-check raising and throwing out pot bets as in the other hands. He had to know I had a big hand because I 3-bet preflop and he still pushed. I just didn't know if he was a decent LAG or just nuts yet. If I had known how he played JJ vs a raiser (next hand) it might have forced me to fold.

Hand 2 - I folded and he said he had JJ even though I didn't ask.

Hand 3 - He had quads. AK. Well played.

So after the last hand he actually apologized lol for the beating and said:

"sorry man. i dont know why it picks on you"
"what did you do to piss them off"

I'd love to agree with you Zmej, but unfortunately more than half of the players with VP$IP's over 50% with 50+ hands in my PT database are winners (14 winners vs 8 losers). It baffles the hell outta me, but it works and it seems to be the type of player I have the most trouble with.

Good points, but you don't think the 3rd King on the turn
A) gives my hand better showdown value
B) makes it harder for me to rep a King with a raise
Obviously since he had the King neither one was going to work anyway though.

In my short experience, these are the players that win a lot of small pots from you, but you get to nail them for the big ones..
