The 2 opponents I'm involved with here are the better 2 players at the table. The flat caller is 26/12/3 and has 3-bet me a few hands back. The 3-bettor in this case is 16/11/3 and I have 3-bet him on a couple of occassions.

My stack is $144 and they both have $100 stacks.

Is this a good spot to 4-bet and, if so, how much should I make it (knowing that I can't fold if he then pushes)? Or do you think I am better just folding / calling and looking for an A or K high flop (which could be dangerous anyway).

No...unless he's capable of a squeeze, that's JJ+/AK everytime.

Would you make the call pre-flop then, or simply fold to his raise?

Also, how do you judge whether he is capable of a squeeze? Do you just give him credit for the hand if you've not seen him make this play before? I had seen him 3-bet a few times pre-flop - although I realise this is a different situation to a squeeze.

People are capable of a squeeze when you see them do this a lot and/or do this and show down crap. A squeeze is when a decent player has raised, someone has called, and squeezer puts in a big raise to scare original raiser (since he's in the middle now) and put the pressure on whoever just called since that shows weakness.

I wouldn't just call this pf. AK is a horrible hand to just CALL with pf. If he has AA/KK, then you're likely in bad shape if you hit anything...and if he has JJ/QQ, then you're unlikely to get paid...and if he has AK, then he can outplay you.
